About the Federation

In Romania, Working Equitation has seen exponential growth and robust development since 2014, when the Association for Working Equitation Romania (AWER) led the foundation of this new discipline at national level by providing a well-documented competition rulebook and starting to organize competitions. Debuting at a smaller scale but driven by the impetus of offering this beautiful discipline to children and adults alike, interest grew at a sustained rate, enabling a first Championship Final in 2017. The number of enthusiasts is on an ascending trend with high and constant interest, and training levels are steadily increasing, reaching medium (M) level. Working Equitation was introduced within the Romanian Equestrian Federation (FER) in April 2023, becoming a recognized equestrian sports discipline at national level.
