About the Federation
The beginnings of Working Equitation in France under WAWE regulations date back to 2010, and the discipline has developed considerably in recent years, with a National Championship of 10 stages bringing together 250 riders in 2024. The level of French senior riders has progressed considerably, with bronze medals in individual and team events at the WAWE World Championship in Les Herbiers in 2022 and at the WAWE European Championship in Lowe in 2024. The junior and young rider athletes also distinguished themselves, taking second (Juniors) and third (Young Riders) place in the team rankings at the most recent European Championships in Les Herbiers in 2025. Working Equitation France, independent of the French Equestrian Federation, is an organization attached to the French Lusitano Horse Association.
