Working Equitation in Belgium
Working Equitation was introduced in Belgium by Luc Decafmeyer and Christophe Sergeant in 2003. In the same year, he founded Equitation de Travail Arbeids Paardrijden (ETAP), who represents Working Equitation in Wallonie, the French speaking part of Belgium. Only in 2014 Flanders got his equivalent in Flanders Working Equitation (FWE), representing the Flemish riders.
Since 2018 both associations work together as Working Equitation Belgium (WEB). WEB is supervising the regulations, the competion calender, judge training and team selection. Belgium has got about 10 competitions each year and at the end of the season, a Belgian championship is held.
